Who we are

Bask is an AI fitness coaching application. Our website is baskai.app. You can contact us at support@baskai.app.

This policy covers the baskai.app website only. The Bask iPhone app is a separate thing: it holds an account, your workouts and your coaching history, it collects far more than this website does, and it has its own privacy policy which you can read inside the app under You, then Settings, then Privacy. Nothing you do inside the app is described on this page.

What data we collect

This website does not ask you for any personal information. There is no signup form, no waitlist and no account to create here. Every button on this site sends you to the Bask listing on the Apple App Store.

What we do collect is anonymised usage measurement, through Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics:

• Pages viewed, and when
• Which App Store button was clicked, and where on the page it sat
• The page you came from (referrer URL), if available
• Campaign parameters in the link you arrived on, such as utm_source
• Coarse technical data such as browser, device type and approximate country

We do not collect your name, email address, location, payment information or any other data that identifies you personally through this website.

Why we collect it

To understand how people find Bask and whether the site is doing its job. Specifically, to see which pages get read, which App Store buttons get clicked, and which marketing channels bring people who go on to download the app.

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in measuring and improving our own website. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it is not shared or sold for advertising.

What happens when you go to the App Store

Our download links carry a campaign tag so we can tell in Apple's own reporting which channel a download came from. That tag describes the campaign, not you. Once you are on the App Store, Apple's privacy policy applies, and anything that happens after you install Bask is covered by the app privacy policy rather than this one.

Our former waitlist

Before Bask launched we ran an email waitlist on this site. That form has been removed. If you joined it, we still hold the email address you gave us, and we use it only to let you know the app is out. Email support@baskai.app and we will delete it.

How we store your data

Analytics data is held by Google and by Vercel under their own terms. Remaining waitlist email addresses are stored using Supabase, a cloud database provider, on servers within the European Union. We use Resend to send email. All of these services are GDPR-compliant.

How long we keep your data

Analytics data is kept for the retention period configured in Google Analytics and Vercel, then deleted automatically. Remaining waitlist email addresses are kept until you ask us to delete them. We do not sell, trade or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw your consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@baskai.app and we will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies on this site to recognise a returning browser and to measure a visit as one session rather than many. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies. We set no advertising cookies and run no ad networks. You can block or clear these cookies in your browser at any time and the site will work exactly as before.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Bask develops. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
